My marriage ended, and the family I had pictured wasn't going to happen. Rebuilding meant keeping two young girls steady, running the house, and having no part of the day that was mine.

My best friend imported a full-body red light panel. I started using it for twenty minutes after my shower, and the real gift was the time: twenty minutes where nobody needed anything from me.

Before long my daughters lay down with me. No TV, no phones, no talking. It became something the three of us looked forward to in a hard stretch at home.

The search
I couldn't recommend any of it
Friends kept asking what to buy. What I found were unverified wavelength claims, dropshipped devices nobody had touched, and brands that wouldn't say what their irradiance was or at what distance.

So I built one
A big panel is hard to fit into real life and impossible to take with you. I put the same 660 nm and 850 nm light into a handheld you can pick up, put down and pack in a bag, and priced it for ordinary Australian families.
